More photos of fall in New York

These are the pumpkins I grew this year. Many people have asked me what type of pumpkin I grew, and whether I will use them to make pies. I love making pumpkin pie, but since I have no idea what kind I grew, we have yet to see. I like the photo below because it highlights the twist in the pumpkin stem. And the fact that I have yet to clean them!

These are the leaves of the sumac "tree" in my backyard. It has never grown taller than five feet, though the other sumacs on the property have reached the roof of the house!

and lastly, my porch chair. I like it a lot, maybe because it was free, or maybe because I refinished it myself. Or maybe because the sun was hitting it just right!

Happy Autumn, all!
